Help Me Help the CBLDF, Help Me Help All of Us
The CBLDF is about to go to trial on the Gordon Lee Case. They need our help.
I am a passionate believer in the First Amendment to the US Constitution. I believe that all of our freedoms flow from it.
I think that Marvel's Mary Jane statue is sexist crap. I think that the Heroes For Hire #13 cover is sexist crap and deeply squicky. I also think that Marvel has the right to print them.
I think that if Rachel Nabor wants to create comics that deal quite frankly with sexuality and women's issues, she has the right to do so.
I think that a non-pornographic, anatomicaly accurate depiction of a documented historical event is protected speech, and that if a child can go to the library and check out or read books about art which also show naked people, then comics and the retailers who sell them deserve the same protections.
Narrowminded, vindictive, and petty fools in Rome, Georgia, do not.
I also believe in putting my money where my mouth is.
If I get 40 emailed proofs of a donation of at least $25 to the CBLDF, I will personally present Charles Brownstein with a cheque for $1000 at San Diego Comic Con.

I'm so glad you joined POWER and posted this here!! I send you proof of my donation - and I hope that everyone here will do the same. The CBLDF is an important part of the comic book industry!
