For anyone interested in such things, I have today's Anime Expo summary here and an interview with Satoru Kannagi from June 28, 2007 here. Enjoy!

Today's Anime Expo very briefly before I fall into bed. When I my magic press pass didn't get me to the front of the huge monster line to get into the exhibit hall, I decided to kill an hour over a thumping good breakfast at the Hyatt. My ham, mozzarella, mushroom and tomato omelet was delicious, pricey, and the line was gone by the time I got back to the hall. I like having AX in Long Beach but no one else I talked to did. One of the exhibitors told me she thought the hall was too dark. I thought the hall was too loud, I think it was Bang Zoom making all the noise. Saw part 1 of the "Death Note" movie it's really good. I plan to go back for part 2 tomorrow. Saw the "Transformers" trailer and now I want to see it and Transformers weren't part of my childhood, but how can I pass up giant roller-skating robots on the freeway? I really enjoy the cosplayers; I must get a camera one day. I only had a few "put some clothes on, young woman" moments, perhaps I'm becoming inured to it all. Interestingly, there were as many half-naked boys as half-naked girls. Anyone know why cute boys would be wandering around with only a towel around their waists? Is this some anime I should know about? Anyone?

Not AX: Drove home, took a nap, picked up my pull, which was large because I asked Nurit at Comic Odyssey to get "White Tiger" for me so 1-5 were there along with Silver Surfer, Amazon's Attack, and WW. Peter Parker asked Norin to go out with him and gets turned down; adorable! Then I went to see "Live Free or Die Hard," which I loved. I'll leave it up to my biographers to figure out why I loved cars crashing into helicopters so much, because I haven't a clue. Bruce wasn't too annoying, everyone else was pretty good. Tired, bed, looking forward to tomorrow.

Amazons Attack, #6

Okay, I give up. Can someone please explain the ending of Amazons Attack? Like, who the hell is that?

Please buy Supergirl #20

"Q: Why do you think fans of Supergirl should check out this version?
And how do you think/hope this new look will appeal to the many female
comic book readers out there?

"TB: I think Renato Guedes's work will definitely appeal to female
readers more than some previous versions, which were a lot more
oriented toward 'cheesecake' and pinup shots. Not that I think those
things are always wrong, but I'm a forty year-old dad, so I'm not
comfortable with making a 17 year-old girl too sexy.… Continue
